Trudging in the Sand

Joseph jumping off a sand dune

Last week my mom and my sister, Sheraden, came over from Seattle for a few days to visit us. My mom brought her nice new camera and we took some great pictures of the kids at the dunes down by the river. Or maybe I should say the "dune" by the river. According to Joe the dunes used to consist of several huge, shining mountains of sand that covered a large area and sloped down to nice beaches by the river. Now they are all overgrown with weeds, leaving only one single sand dune to enjoy. I would have loved to have seen the place in its glory days. Here are some of the pictures from the trip.

Yes, we had a wonderful day that day. The kids had such a great time jumping and rolling in the sand. We must have taken over one hundred pics with my new camera. Sheraden stated, "This was the second best day of my life." When asked what was the best day of your life, she said "The day I was born." LOL. Thank you Joe and Allison for creating such a wonderful memory for us.
